Inside Out
Every year, the UK spends nearly £7 billion on its prison system—approximately, £48,061 per year for each prisoner—yet the cycle of incarceration continues. Eight out of ten young ex-offenders reoffend within 12 months of release, and nearly 45,000 people walk out of prison every year with little more than stigma and shut doors. Only 8% of those who are work-ready find employment, while the rest face a system that too often sets them up to fail.
At Inside Out, we believe in a different story.
We see potential where society sees risk. We see designers, innovators, and creators where others may see statistics. Through fashion, economic empowerment, mental wellness, mentorship, and opportunity, we transform lives from the inside out—restoring dignity, unlocking purpose, and creating pathways to employment.
Our programme has achieved a 91% success rate in reducing reoffending and already saved UK taxpayers approximately £1.2 million a year—proof that change is not only possible, but powerful.
Inside Out is more than clothing. It is a movement to break the cycle of reoffending, to replace isolation with inclusion, and to give voice, pride, and opportunity to those society too often leaves behind.

Across the UK and globally, access to health and wellbeing remains uneven. In the UK, 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year, while mental health receives around 10–11% of NHS spending despite accounting for a far greater proportion of need. Globally, non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension account for approximately 74% of deaths, with Caribbean and global majority communities disproportionately affected. At the same time, small independent artists, brands and grassroots organisations make up over 90% of the creative and voluntary ecosystem, yet often operate with limited access to funding and long-term infrastructure.

Through partnerships with artists, ethical brands and grassroots organisations, we create workshops, experiences and products that foster mental wellbeing, strengthen community and open up access to opportunity.
As a non-profit social impact platform, we channel our work into meaningful action—supporting initiatives across health, social justice, environmental sustainability and humanitarian causes. Every collaboration contributes to a wider ecosystem of giving, helping fund programmes, uplift communities and create lasting, collective impact.
